[[start|The Overland]] is a roughly **Earth-sized** planet orbiting its star at a great distance. One orbit takes almost exactly **16 Earth years** (one [[world:calendar|Turn]]). Axial tilt is **110°**. One rotation takes almost exactly **18 Earth hours** (one [[world:calendar|Pulse]]).

There are **two moons**; lore on them is undeveloped (**Introduced** only).

[[places:myligast|Myligast]] sits on the **equator**. [[places:bytorsskug|Bytorsskug]] lies directly south of it and is therefore in the **southern hemisphere** (just south of the equator).

Because of the extreme tilt, one hemisphere faces the star for half a Turn (light [[world:calendar|Duel]]) and faces away for the other half (dark Duel). See [[world:calendar|Calendar]].
